I’m so happy fall events are in full swing! I love being out and about after a slow event season all summer and there’s SO much happening the month of October in Arizona. Some events are ticketed, but if you’re looking for budget friendly fun, I’ve also included some FREE options as well. Here's a list of 10 fall events in Arizona this month.

Oktoberfest

Celebrate Oktoberfest this Saturday, October 5th from 4-10PM, at The Joy Lush Club! This event is FREE to attend, no cover, registration, or ticket needed. There will be drink specials on German beer, various food vendors with German staples like Bratwurst and pretzels, and lots of games with prizes.

Join O.H.S.O. Brewery for their first annual Oktoberfest on October 5th from 2-8PM at The Park, which is connected to their Gilbert location. Purchasing a ticket gets you entry to The Park where all the Oktoberfest festivities take place, including a punch card for 4 nine ounce beers and one meal. Pre-purchase your tickets to save!

Mercantile Market

After a summer hiatus, Mercantile Market is back for Fall Fest on October 12th from 10AM-4PM! With over 150 vendors offering everything from food and drinks to interactive workshops and experiences, it’s a fun and FREE way to spend a Saturday. Plus, the first 100 shoppers get free totes!

The Valles al Valle Wine Festival is taking place October 13th from 11AM-2PM at the Egyptian Motor Hotel in Downtown Phoenix. Enjoy live music and taste 15+ wines from four unique Mexican regions.

VIVA PHX returns October 19th as the ultimate music and culture festival in Downtown Phoenix. Immerse yourself in the celebration of small businesses, local food and drink vendors, and 70 live musical artists across 10+ stages all while connecting with other music enthusiasts and creatives.

One of my favorite fall events in Arizona, Taco Fest, is back at Salt River Fields October 19th and 20th! In the fest you’ll find tacos from 30 of Arizona’s best taqueros, $10 top shelf Corrido margaritas, live music, art and shopping, as well as a huge bar by Casa Amigos, and The Agave Show, which features a tasting event with over 30 brands of tequila and mezcal. Tickets must be purchased online, use code SWS to save $5. Access to the Agave Show is extra.

Four Peaks Brewing Co. Haunted Brewery Tours: Nightmare on 8th Street

Looking for a little bit of spooky fun? Four Peaks Brewing is offering tours of their haunted brewery on 8th Street. Join them for night time Haunted Brewery Tours every Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday night now through October 31st.

Arizona State Fair

The Arizona State Fair is back! Open every Thursday through Sunday from now until October 27th, the fair offers a variety of entertainment like rides, fun fair foods, a circus, and the Coliseum Concert Series.

Fright Night Haunted House at Verde Canyon Railroad

For those of you in Northern Arizona, get your spooky fix at the Fright Night Haunted House at Verde Canyon Railroad. Take a walk through a haunted railcar display filled with snake dens, deranged clowns, spirited skeletal remains, and more. Fright Nights will be taking place every Friday and Saturday September 28th through October 26th, with the final installment on October 31st. Advanced reservations are recommended, but not required.

The Westin Tempe is hosting its fan-favorite outdoor movie series Spooky Cinema at Skysill Rooftop Lounge every Friday in October, and it's FREE to attend. Grab some popcorn and a themed cocktail while you sit back and watch a Halloween classic under the stars. Seating is first come, first served and you’ll need to RSVP.

Like I said, there is SO much happening throughout the state this month, so these 10 fall events in Arizona are just a taste of everything going on. I’ll be doing my best to hit up a few of them as I can, and of course I’ll keep you updated on where I end up and what else I find over my Instagram!
