3 Fall Outdoor Activities in Arizona
We are soaking in ALL of the fall we can get here in Arizona after a brutal summer. And there is nothing more I want to do than to spend time outside. The weather is perfect this time of year and I’d be a fool not to enjoy every bit of it. From luxury outings in your own backyard, to spooky tours not for the faint of heart, to the classic fall pumpkin patch visit, these are 3 fall outdoor activities in Arizona.
Plan a Fun Night with Lee’s Luxury Outings
Lee’s Luxury Outings is a locally owned business that brings fun outings directly to your door across the valley. Last fall my family and I had an outdoor movie and paint night in the backyard. We made our own canvas art pieces and watched Hocus Pocus all without having to hunt down supplies or leave the house. Lee’s supplies everything you need!
For our fall family evening, we combined the Mona Lisa Package and the Cinema Package and upgraded it with their 20ft inflatable screen.
They have so many options to bring your event vision to life, including a Create-Your-Own package where you can pull bits and pieces from their pre-built packages to make your outing perfectly unique to you. If you’re looking for a fun fall activity at home for special date nights, birthdays, slumber parties or group gatherings, this is it!
Take a Haunted Walking Tour

Phoenix as a city may not be that old in comparison to many places, but if you go looking for it, you’ll find that many of its downtown buildings are steeped in history and even paranormal experiences. And what better time of year to learn about the haunted happenings, than spooky season.
Right now, there are so many different spooky walking tours of downtown Phoenix that will take you to historic sites such as the Rosson House Museum, the Security Building, the Hotel San Carlos, and more. You’ll hear stories of hauntings and you may even encounter a few of the ghosts on your own. Some of the tours even include EMF readers so you’ll have a chance of detecting and communicating with spirits. At your own risk, of course. All of the tours are led by a professional, knowledgeable guide and they take place at night to add to the experience.
There’s so many to choose from on Viator, so I’d highly recommend starting there!
Visit a Pumpkin Patch

If you live in the Phoenix area, you know that by this time of year, you’ve been watching other parts of the country have fall fun outside and you’re wondering when you’ll get to participate. And while maybe the leaves still haven’t fallen and it’s not quite sweater weather, we do have pumpkin patches popping up around town.
There’s always something about the vibes of a pumpkin patch that really ring in the autumn spirit. Some people like to go to actually pick out a pumpkin. I like to go for the fresh apple cider and corn mazes.
Located in Glendale, Tolmachoff Farms is the perfect balance of family friendly and adult fun. Along with their normal corn maze, they also have AZ Field of Screams, which is a haunted corn maze.
If you’re in need of some new couples photos or family photos, I’ve found your spot! Rocker 7 Farm Patch is celebrating their 10 year anniversary of the family farm. They are known as Buckeye’s original sunflower field, so head there to take photos in their incredible 4 ACRE sunflower field or their Arizona cotton field.
For a better chance at seeing fall leaves, Mortimer Farms may be your stop. It’s in Dewey, which is just south of Prescott Valley. So it isn’t too far of a drive from the valley and could make a fun day trip! They are known for “the festival that made them famous” which is their Pumpkin Fest & Corn Maze. Not to mention they serve farm-to-table food, have Friday night barn dances, and more.
There is so much to do to get outside this fall, but I wanted to highlight my favorite 3 fall outdoor activities in Arizona. Follow along on my Instagram to see what else I get up to this fall!
