Fall Restaurants in Phoenix

8 Best Fall Restaurants in Phoenix

October 16, 20243 min read

Patio and outdoor dining season is upon us! I can’t think of anything better than sitting outside at one of my favorite restaurants, sipping on a beer or a cocktail, and munching on some good food as the sun goes down. One of the best parts about fall in Arizona is the perfect patio weather. It’s not too hot that you’re sweating, but it’s also not too cold that you need a heater. These are the 8 best fall restaurants in Phoenix.

First & Last

Ok, this first one actually does not have the biggest patio, and I actually think the inside is where the vibe is at. First & Last is one of my favorite Phoenix restaurants overall. The food and drinks are really good, and the ambience on the inside is chef’s kiss. There’s huge windows, lots of plants, and in all, it’s just a fun place to be.

Cibo

Cibo has to have one of the CUTEST patios in Phoenix. Because this Italian restaurant is inside of a historic home, the patio area feels like you’re hanging out in a quaint courtyard complete with an arched vine entrance and romantic string lights.

I love Queen Creek Olive Mill anytime of the year. But it’s so nice to head there in the fall, taste some top notch olive oils, and grab something to eat. Everything on the menu is so fresh and tasty. Plus, there are always events happening there. In fact, every weekend for the month of October they will also have live music!

Thea

I HAD to include Thea on my list of the 8 best fall restaurants in Phoenix. I mean, what’s better than a rooftop patio with direct views of Camelback Mountain?! Thea is located at The Global Ambassador Hotel and every Friday and Saturday night there is a DJ that brings the lively Mediterranean vibes to the desert. Not to mention it is recognized by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the best new hotel restaurants in the world.

LON’s at The Hermosa Inn

LON’s patio just screams “luxury” at first glance. It’s perfectly situated with views of Camelback Mountain, has a massive wood-burning fireplace, and an incredible stone fountain. I would say this is a little more higher-end, but it would be perfect for a special date night or celebration.

Palma

If you haven’t been to Palma, I’ll be the first to say, it’s fun! I would say this is more for a fun night out or brunch with the girls. But the whole restaurant is cute from inside to out, they have fun music, comfy seating, and even fire pits to really set the mood.

Ocotillo Restaurant

Ocotillo is known for its indoor/outdoor design that seamlessly blends into the native desert landscape. It’s locally sourced, farm-to-table, seasonal offerings are insanely good. And they also have an extensive bar menu with signature cocktails. As it cools down, its expansive outdoor area is the perfect place to grab a drink and watch the sunset.

Gertrude’s Restaurant

The final restaurant on this list is probably a little specific, but I wanted to mention it in case you find yourself at the Desert Botanical Garden. Gertrude’s is actually located inside the DBG. It’s known for its seasonally inspired cooking that celebrates local Arizona growers and producers. Even the drink menu features local brewers and winemakers. Not to mention you’d be dining amongst the beauty of the gardens. It would make such a fun date night!

I know, of course, there are so many great restaurants with outdoor dining and beautiful atmospheres here in the Phoenix area, but I just wanted to highlight some of my favorites. So, in case you’re on the hunt for somewhere new to try, in my opinion, these are some of the 8 best fall restaurants in Phoenix. But I’m sure the list could go on even more!
